North Carolina’s Shimmering Nantahala River features eight miles of practice on easy Class II rapids before splashing through the exciting Class III whitewater of the Nantahala Falls. We have had a good response so far for this trip. Now, here are the details. We will meet at 6 am Saturday July 17th. We will drive the 3 hrs to the Nantahala Gorge. Then we will be on the river for about 3 hours, and eat lunch at the facility afterwards, before returning home in the evening. Download waiver (PDF). We are hoping to take more than 20 people, which will make the cost $35 for chaperones or students - lunch included. If interested, please contact Bill Howell at bill-deb1023@charter.net
